  • changing institution. you could do something--and this is kind of what you're thinking about--about how people are changing the town. so the new object wouldn't be a new tool or object or technology so much as new people. how do these new people change the town? and you'd interview lots of different kinds of people and get them to talk about the change. you'd be somewhat disconnected from the analysis of course, but ... how is growth affecting you? why is this the way to move forward? ...except it's not really a choice ...dispute. developers, city planners, people at the EDC, city council, what are you doing for the common good?<but like what would this kind of analysis do? change. mapping change. look at the heterogeneity! look at how varied the situation is! critique.
